If you are lazy like me and don’t like exercising the this is my tip to you that would help your mind, and also help you keep fit, try out Forest walking and meditation. During my last trip to Korea, I had the opportunity to experience the forest road walking meditation which can be recognized as one of the wellness activities.

What is forest walking and meditation?
Forest walking and meditation, also known as Shinrin-yoku, is a traditional Japanese practice that combines walking in the forest with mindfulness and meditation techniques. The goal is to promote physical and mental well-being by immersing oneself in nature.
My experience of Forest road walking meditation during Bulguska temple stay.
The activity took place from around 7:00am to about 8:30 am and the walking meditation took place from Gyeongju national Park entrance to Seokguram Grotto . Then a walk back from Seokguram Grotto Gyeongju national Park.
When I started my walk, I was super excited as it was a new experience, 10 minutes into to walk , I began breathing hard and heaving because of the distance and I hardly exercise , so I am not fit😂🫣

With the continued waking, I began to ease up, the tension in my body began to ease, then I began to take in the scenery , the scent and the beauty of the forest. It was really breathtaking.
Through this exercise, I learn thatvThe forest road walking meditation is believed to ease stress and anxiety which benefits our well being. Expecially because of the serenity of nature, the therapeutic benefits and the ability to meditate while walking a forest path or trail. This i truly experience first hand.

This experience helped me to calm my mind, connected me to my sense such as breathing, my sight taking in all the beautiful forest scenery and also listening and hearing Amazing forest sounds. I felt my body being fit, my mind at peace and my spirit was happy.
It was a wholesome experience ,I savored the sensation from the forest, the morning coolness and I felt healthy, happy and calm.
